Dubai is one of the largest cities in the Middle East, so naturally, it’s filled with places to skate.
From famous street spots that you can see in skate videos like “We Are Blood” to newly built skate parks, there’s no shortage of things to skate throughout the city.
After living in Dubai for close to 2 years, I got the chance to skate all of the best parks and spots throughout the city, and I decided to create a guide to help all of the other skaters out there who might be passing through.
In this post, we’re going to go over the best places to skateboard in Dubai.
(Tip: Finding street spots in Dubai that you won’t get kicked out of can be tricky. If you want to find places to street skate in Dubai, your best bet is to talk to some locals at Nahida skatepark or in Deira.)
Kite Beach Skatepark (X Dubai)
By far the most popular skate park in Dubai is Kite Beach.
Kite Beach skatepark is one of Dubai’s best skateparks, as well as one of the newest. The park is very well built, has a good flow, and there’s a wide variety of things to skate. It has a bowl, a pool, rails, ledges, quarter pipes, hubbas, and almost everything else you can think of.
Unlike most public skate parks, Kite Beach is also shaded and has lights, which is great if you happen to go there during the hotter months. There’s even a small skate shop there in case you need any last minute skateboarding gear.
Due to its location on one of Dubai’s most frequented beaches, Kite Beach skatepark is one of the busiest skateparks in Dubai.
It’s typically very crowded after school hours and during holidays, however, on occasion you can get lucky and have a session when there aren’t many people.
Although it’s a great skatepark, since it cost money to skate, it’s often crowded, and it’s filled with kids riding scooters, most local skateboarders avoid Kite Beach skatepark.
With that said, if you can find a time to go when it’s not too busy, it can be a lot of fun to skate.
Things To Know:
- Dhs45 per day ($12.25 USD), Dhs100 per month ($27.23 USD). Open daily 5pm-1am. Kite Beach, www.xdubai.com.
- Skatepark has lights
- Shaded
- Parking can be difficult to find due to its location on the beach

Nahida Skatepark (New Business Bay Park)
Nahida skatepark is another newly built park, and is located in the middle of Downtown Dubai.
Nahida skatepark is split into two sections that are connected via a tunnel. One section features more skatepark obstacles like transition and quarterpipes, and the other section features more street obstacles like rails, ledges, and manual pads.
The park is somewhat narrow, but it has a good flow, and even when there’s a decent amount of people there it doesn’t feel too crowded. As far as obstacles go, it has something for everyone, but it especially caters to people who like to skate technical things like ledges and manual pads.
Even though there are around a dozen or so skateparks spread throughout Dubai, Nahida skatepark is the most popular park for residents / local skateboarders.
It has a good location in the middle of the city, but it’s far enough away from everything where there aren’t many pedestrians and skateboarders are left alone.
Without sounding too biased, Nahida skatepark is easily one of the best skateparks in Dubai, so it’s definitely worth checking out.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has lights
- Paid parking available in front of the skatepark

Business Bay (Old Business Bay Park)
Not even a 10 minute walk from Nahida skatepark is Business Bay skatepark.
Business Bay skatepark is a somewhat smaller skatepark surrounded by several shops and restaurants.
Due to the heavy foot traffic and small size of the park, it can sometimes get crowded fairly easily, mostly by moms and their kids who use the ramps as slides.
When it’s not too busy, Business Bay can be a fun skatepark despite its small size. The obstacles are somewhat mellow, so it can be great for learning tricks.
When the park first opened, it had an amazing view of the Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building in the world. The view has since been partially blocked by other skyscrapers, but there’s still some great architecture surrounding it.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has lights
- Free / Paid parking available next to the skatepark

The Block Skatepark
The Block skatepark is a newly built skatepark in Dubai on the D3 waterfront of the Design District.
Despite being located in the middle of a busy park filled with basketball courts, playgrounds, and outdoor gyms, the skatepark itself is rarely that busy.
The Block skatepark features a bowl section along with a street section that loops around a basketball court. This helps spread the park out more and gives it a good flow.
The bowl section of the park can be a little difficult to get used to and it’s slightly downhill so it can be hard to keep a run going, but the street sections can be a lot of fun.
There’s plenty of ledges, banks, rails, manual pads, and even a small stair set with some hubbas.
Design District isn’t very far from Business Bay, so if you’re looking to go to several skateparks in Dubai on the same day, you could easily hit The Block along with Business Bay and Nahida.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has some lights, but they aren’t very good
- Free parking available near the park

Damac Hills Skatepark
If you’re a street skateboarder, Damac Hills skatepark is without a doubt one of the best skateparks in Dubai.
This park features mostly street obstacles including stairs, rails, ledges, and manual pads. The obstacles come in a variety of sizes, so it’s great for learning tricks and working your way up. Overall, the flow of the park is good, and it’s very spread out so it rarely feels crowded.
Damac Hills skatepark is located inside of the Damac Hills gated community. At first glance, it might seem private due to the security gates, but it’s actually open to the public.
The skatepark is right behind a Carrefour, so it’s easy to grab some drinks and snacks after you skate.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has lights
- Free parking available next to and in front of the park

Dubai Hills Skatepark
Dubai Hills is a new community that’s currently under construction and won’t be finished for a few more years. With that said, parts of it are already complete, and it currently has 2 skateparks that are fully built.
As of now, both skateparks are a bit of a trek to get to, but as the development continues, there will likely be parking that is much closer. The skateparks are both in a large community park located in the middle of the development.
The first skatepark in Dubai Hills has a ton of things to skate, including a bowl, a pool, and a street section that flows really well. It’s not a very large park, but since it’s not in a busy part of the city and it’s relatively unknown, it’s unlikely for it to get crowded.
It’s worth mentioning that the park does have lights but currently they don’t turn on yet, however that will likely change soon. Also, a large portion of the park is even shaded, so skating in the middle of the day isn’t as much of a problem.
The second skatepark in Dubai Hills is even smaller than the first, but it’s still a lot of fun to skate. This park is more like a mixture between a miniature bowl and a pump track, and can be great for anyone who’s still learning, or just likes skating transition.
Although it’s still pretty under the radar, Dubai Hills has one of the best skateparks in Dubai, so it’s better to go now while it’s not very well known.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has lights (unknown when they will be turned on)
- Skatepark is shaded
- Free parking available about a ~5 minute walk from the park
- Location – https://goo.gl/maps/EUwGVt4Zq5rKrKBXA
Town Square Skatepark
On the outer edge of Dubai is Town Square skatepark, which is one of the largest skateparks in Dubai.
This skatepark is made out of prefab ramps, but it can still be a lot of fun to skate. The park includes mostly transition obstacles like quarterpipes and a bowl, but it also has a few street obstacles like rails and ledges.
Town Square skatepark is really well lit at night, so it can be a great place to get an evening session in during the spring and summer months.
The park is next to a few sports courts, so sometimes there are random kids running around that can get in the way, but the ramps are pretty spread out so it’s usually manageable.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has lights
- Free parking available in front of skatepark
- Location – https://goo.gl/maps/Wk5KgeutYjziWc4U8
Arabian Ranches Skatepark
Inside the Arabian Ranches community is one of the lesser known skateparks in Dubai.
This small prefab skatepark has all of the basics including ledges, flat bars, and even a mini ramp among other things.
Compared to some of the other amazing places to skate in Dubai, the Arabian Ranches park isn’t the most impressive, however, it’s still not a bad park.
It’s by no means one of the best skateparks in Dubai, but it can still be a lot of fun to skate.
There’s hardly anyone there most of the time so you can usually have the place to yourself, and the ramps are actually well built.
The Arabian Ranches skatepark is also covered (the image above was taken before covers were installed) so there’s plenty of shade, and it even has lights.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has lights
- Skatepark is shadded
- Free parking available in front of skatepark
- Location – https://goo.gl/maps/7HLK6m2TwCLUCzc49
Mira Skatepark
Similar to both Town Square and Arabian Ranches, Mira skatepark is a prefab skatepark located in a less busy area of Dubai.
Mira skatepark only has a handful of ramps, but they flow well together and it’s unlikely that it will ever be busy when you go. As with some of the other parks on this list, it’s both shaded and has lights that come on at night.
Sometimes prefab parks get a bad wrap, but Mira skatepark can actually be really fun to skate, especially if you want to avoid crowds.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Skatepark has lights
- Free parking available in front of skatepark
- Location – https://goo.gl/maps/MHDAxeKX8wK9reaT6
Sports City Pump Track
Another great place to skateboard in Dubai is the Sports City Pump Track.
For some time, this pump track was made entirely out of dirt, but it’s recently been covered with smooth concrete, which makes it a great place to go skate.
The Sports City Pump Track doesn’t have anything to skate other than the track itself, but it can still be fun to go skate around on for a while.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Free parking available near skatepark
- Location – https://goo.gl/maps/NnPzLYuu7rmFQWYP7
Al Mamzar Beach Skatepark
For people who like skating transition, Al Mamza Beach skatepark is a dream spot.
This skatepark was one of the popular Dubai skate spots featured in the skate video “We Are Blood”.
The only obstacle at this park is a giant concrete halfpipe, but there are also rails going down the side of it so you can definitely get creative.
Unfortunately, most of the time the park is used by kids as a giant slide, but if you decide to go skate it you should be able to clear them out fairly easily.
Things To Know:
- Free to skate
- Free parking available near skatepark
